The past week has been wonderful. Last Thursday I was lucky enough to see Kaskade at Beta in Denver and it was amazing. Lots of friends and good times! A night full of people and dancing gently evolved into a peaceful sunrise and the start of a new day. Always a fan of contrast, I decided to spend the day in RMNP on a solo mission. The weather was beautiful and I was interested in checking out a project found recently by Jamie Emerson. Daniel Woods had given it some effort before escaping to Europe and he had confirmed the quality. After wandering around in waste deep snow for a bit too long, I happened upon it:
Jonny Hork admiring the holds…
The problem consists of 6-7 difficult tension moves to a tricky looking top out. The holds are generally sloping ( on a roof), and the whole problem kinda reminds me of The Game. Lots of crazy foot tension. I gave the problem some burns, made a little progress, got really psyched, and then headed back to Boulder. I managed to return a few days later with my good friend Jonny Hork and made slightly more progress. The climb is hard. At this point, I can’t really imagine it being less than V14. Psyched! Core tension training has begun, I officially have a new project! In the meantime, here’s a little “project” video I scrapped together from Jonny and I’s day out:

looks sick man! whats your core training like?
nothing very specific. abdominal workouts, levers, focusing on foot tension at full body extension, etc.
