The last few days have been wonderful. Temps have been good (a bit humid though) and the climbing has really started to click for me. We spent a nice day out in Brione two days ago, where I managed a quick ascent of Amber 8B, and gave my first go on Vecchio Leone. Got to the last hard move. More importantly, I have a new project that I am now obsessed with. The Story of Two Worlds! It has been on my list since completing The Dagger, and today I gave it some solid effort. After getting some video beta from Dai Koyamada (who actually lives next door), I surprised myself by climbing into The Dagger a few times today. I didn’t expect to have such rapid progress! Now that the full line is in two overlapping sections, the important question has been answered- IT WILL GO! And it is fucking hard! Here is a little screenshot from some video i captured:
The next few days call for some rain in the Ticino area. We might attempt a Magic Wood session either tomorrow or Sunday. Psyched! I will will also be posting a mega blog, some videos that I’ve been working on, and some more photos…
Looking strong Dude! Crush! The Magic Wood should be awesome.
It would be really awesome to see some video footage on this majestic problem, specifically the bottom part!
Good luck!
